My name is Christine Mellink and I have been sewing since I was 6. It started with sewing Barbie clothes together with my neighbor girl. Her mother also sewed a lot so she always had beautiful leftover scraps that we could use.
As long as I can remember I have been interested in all kinds of textile work forms such as crocheting, knitting, sewing. After all the doll clothes I also wanted to try sewing clothes for myself. Without patterns and examples that was quite a challenge. After the umpteenth failure my mother asked our neighbor, who sewed everything herself, if she could give me a few lessons and after making 3 projects together with her I thought I could do it myself 😀
