What is Lyocell (Tencel™)?

Lyocell is a semi-synthetic fibre made from wood cellulose, usually eucalyptus, and produced through a closed-loop production process in which 99% of the solvent is reused. Tencel™ is the well-known brand name from Lenzing for lyocell. The fabric is known for its exceptional softness, moisture-regulating properties and strong sustainability profile. Wash instructions

Hand wash or delicate programme at 30°C. Do not wring. Dry flat or hang to dry. Iron at low to medium temperature. Lyocell may shrink at high temperatures.

Tencel™/Lyocell from Lenzing has OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and Ecovero certification. GOTS is available in certified supply chains. Lyocell is recognised as one of the most sustainable textile fibres.
