Best Breathable Fabrics for Warm Weather
The fabric that breathes best is usually linen, especially in a light and open construction.
Breathability depends on the fibre, but also on the fabric weight, weave, knit structure and finish. A fine cotton muslin feels much cooler than a heavy cotton canvas, even though both can be made from cotton.
For warm weather, choose fabrics that allow air movement, absorb or transport moisture and do not sit too tightly against the body.
